Meet Our Counsellors

Kristina Sohal

I’m Kristina, a registered counsellor in Vancouver who changes people’s lives with my compassionate and non-judgemental therapeutic approach.

My story of helping others began in the finance industry where I worked for several years. I became increasingly passionate about helping my financially stressed clients. Determined to help others with a wider set of issues, I decided to become a therapist in Vancouver, BC.

I earned my Masters of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. As a member of the British Columbia Association of Counsellors, I’m incredibly proud to help my clients live better lives by being the counsellor who takes time to listen.

Speaking of truly listening – this is what makes my therapeutic approach different from that of other professionals. My patience in thoroughly hearing each client in their own unique struggle gives me the feedback I need to provide each client with life changing tools.

Practicing with the highest ethical standards as a Vancouver counsellor, I use various approaches to help clients in their healing journeys. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindful Exercises, Solution-Focused Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Exposure Therapy and Empty Chair Techniques.

If you’re ready to embark on your own self improvement journey, please contact me at 604-619-9992

I look forward to working with you.

Best,

Kristina Sohal

Cynthia Csepregi

My name is Cynthia and I’m thrilled to be joining Kristina at Metro Counselling. I am a registered Social Worker and a Counsellor. I have a strengths based focus, and believe in people’s ability to improve their lives.

I have a long history of working for non profit organizations and in Public Service, first in programs for adults with Developmental disabilities and upon graduation with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work I embarked on a fourteen year career in a complex mental health setting. While I loved this work I ventured into further education getting my Master in Counselling degree. I got most of my satisfaction in my Social Work role providing supportive counselling to family members and patients. In private practice I look forward to devoting all of my time to counselling.

I earned my Master in Counselling degree from City University of Seattle, with an internship in a Crisis program for children and adolescents. My thesis topic was of the impact of suicide on families, parental suicide on children, and amongst diverse populations. I’m an empathetic person who has a wealth of experience in the mental health field. It was this experience that tells me individuals can be the architect of change in their lives. I derive a great deal of satisfaction in my ability to be part of that journey.

No two individuals are alike so I will tailor therapy to the needs and strengths of each of my clients. I employ Person Centered therapy, Solution focus therapy, and believe in the benefits of increased self awareness of Narrative therapy. Please contact Metro Counselling if you would like to work with me.

Best,

Cynthia Csepregi – BA in social work and masters in counselling psychology

Rafael Tejada

Have you experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, a personality disorder, or addiction? Are you experiencing stress in a significant connection with a partner, kid, or parent because of communication or mental health issues?

I have worked with many families, couples, and individuals to examine attachment difficulties and injuries that have affected them and their connection in order to help them better understand one other and themselves in order to rebuild relationships, self-esteem, and optimism.

Therapy can assist you in facing your painful experiences and daily problems with kindness so that you can begin your path to inner peace.

My clients arrive at the session with awareness; together, we work hard to build a compassionate perspective on life and on ourselves, and we discover how to put that awareness into practice. My special method of treatment enables my patients to embrace their entire selves and move towards their goals.
